EU-kansalaisten henkilötietojen siirto Yhdysvaltoihin muuttui laittomaksi - Trump lakkautti tietojen turvallisuutta valvovan viraston

Trumpin hallinto sulki kyseisen viraston.

"What happens when we put love and intimacy at the center of our understanding of privacy, and what are the consequences of their disavowal, in favor of a more familiar technocratic definition of privacy-as-absense? What role does our deep desire for love and belonging, and our concomitant fear of shame and rejection, have to do with the (mis)direction of tech capital and the current, warped shape of the tech industry and its products?"

What was predicted. AI action models. The next step is to link discounts to advertising consumption. And you can be sure that the adverts will also be viewed very attentively. Eyes and faces are tracked by AI. Inattention is not counted. Poor people only get discounts if they have watched the adverts attentively. Rich people can simply buy anything just like so.

We are seeking proposals for the security and reverse-engineering track of #fluConf2025. While we expect considerable overlap between these topics and those of our privacy and surveillance track, we want to highlight the many ways in which security research differs from privacy.

Consider submitting proposals for blog articles, presentations, or other formats on any of the following themes:

* approaches for incorporating security requirements into the software development lifecycle

* advocacy against stalkerware, resources for personal safety training

* honeypots, intrusion detection, and monitoring

* dependency management and static analysis

* research into cryptographic primitives, sidechannel attacks, and data exfiltration

* penetration testing and offensive security

* responsible disclosure, security policies, and related legal issues

* ransomware gangs, APTs, and other threat actors in the wild

Apply up until midnight of January 19th, 2025 (anywhere on Earth)

The end of 2024 saw another attempt to change data protection law in the #DataBill (UK).

We brought together 53 experts and civil society groups in an open letter to the UK government. We called on them to scrap proposals that'll strip back the right to human review of solely automated decisions that can have life-changing consequences.
