This Sunday at 9 eastern once again it is #MONSTERDON the weekly monster movie watch party! Come watch a bad movie with a couple thousand of your best friends :D

This week we're watching YETI: GIANT OF THE 20TH CENTURY (1977), which looks to be an Italian version of Cry Wilderness (1987). I hope an eagle gouges a man's eyes out in this flick, too.

The film's on Tubi and YouTube (youtube.com/watch?v=Ywr1316LeM), but alas not on Archive.org. Ah well.

Folks it is about an hour until #MONSTERDON the weekly monster movie watch party. If you want to avoid a flood of goofy toots, I recommend setting up a hashtag filter in your preferences.

If you'd like to join in, we're watching CRITTERS (1986) this week, one o' them Gremlins-alikes. You can catch it for free over on Tubi: tubitv.com/movies/100001406/cr

We start at 9pm eastern! Be there or be a small dubiously constructed rubber mammal!

This Sunday at 9pm, once again it is #MONSTERDON your weekly monster movie watch party! Join us to watch a bad horror movie!

This week's film is CRITTERS (1986), one of those creepy-cute gremlin monster movies that came out in the aftermath of Gremlins. Come see M. Emmet Walsh as the sweatiest sheriff this side of the Mason-Dixon!

Alas not available on Archive.org, the film is on Tubi right over here: tubitv.com/movies/100001406/cr

Continued thread

I still remember when I was a child and my parents came home happy to tell me and my brother that they had voted for a president for the first time in their lives, in 1989. My dad was about my age now.

When I visited my parents last year, I was lucky enough to take them to the cinema to see "I'm Still Here". That made the film even more moving for me.

"I'm Still Here" is the first Brazilian production to win an Oscar. A movie about the evils of a dictatorship.

It's an American award on the soil of a country that supported a military coup that lasted more than 20 years and, coincidentally, is now on the verge of a coup d'état.

The film explores the profound impact of Brazil's last military dictatorship on one family. Fernanda Torres delivers a powerful performance that offers a glimpse into the daily struggles faced by many during that time. It's a poignant reminder of the resilience and strength of those who endured such difficult times. It also marks the first time a Brazilian actress has won a Golden Globe.

Go see it.

THIS SUNDAY at 9PM Eastern, it's #MONSTERDON the weekly monster movie watch party! Come watch a hokey horror flick with us!

This week it's C.H.U.D. (1984), which stands for "cannibalistic humanoid underground dweller." Sounds like it's time for some pale cave creeps, should be a good time :D

The flick is free on Tubi and Pluto, or you can download from Archive.org over here: archive.org/details/chud-1984_

See you Sunday! :D

This is a candidate for one of the best films ever produced. It is worth watching on your next classic movie night.

The Wind and the Lion | Full Movie with Sean Connery
https://youtu.be/D-In3mEfBxg

This movie was filmed before the normalization of brainless Hollywood portrayals of all foreigners as mindless drones. It showed an era of mutual respect and honor codes between adversaries instead of jingoistic 'light of the world' self-worship.

No spoilers. It is too good for that.
