And bring #Canada along for the ride. The future of Western democracies, minus our idiot half-brother, is very bright. Without Europe as a beacon, many of the advances we have collectively made in responsible government and human development are at peril.

It is 2025, Russia is invading European democracies and the United States is going through a political crisis that even Tom Clancy wouldn't have cooked up.

This is a cautionary tale that we have all been learning from. Our ties are strong and I am certain that sentiment on this side of the Atlantic is very appreciative of our Allies who are beginning to act like the great powers that they truly are.

Just imagine a world without an EU that has an independent foreign policy and military capacity and the urgency of your project becomes apparent.

Canada should do everything it can to support the EU, not only because it is right, but because it's in our own narrow self interest.

#boycottusa
