When I see "we care about your privacy" I get a weird creepy vibe from it.

Like, why? Why the hell do you care about my privacy? What business of yours is my privacy?

Why don't you go ahead and care about something else? My privacy was just fine before you started "caring" for it.

@rysiek much like private parts they shouldn't:
- talk about it
- have access to it
- use it without my knowledge or consent

@rune and even if they do get access to it with my consent, they should not under any circumstances record it or give other parties access to it without my explicit and very enthusiastic consent.

@rysiek indeed. It almost flows naturally with this analogy.

Maybe the EU should replace the gdpr with shorter more concise "penis and vagina" legislation that we can all understand.

@rune @rysiek

"We care about your genitals"
"Your genitals are important for us"
"Review your genitals settings"
"By submitting this form, you agree to our genitals policy"

If this sounds weird and creepy, why would you talk about our privacy that way?

@samgai @rysiek you missed a common one:
"here at <company> we value your genitalia"

@rune @rysiek Oh damn, you're right. I should have been more thorough with my genitalia-related post.

@rune @samgai @rysiek Just wondering whether some people will want a CW for your CW.

@markusl @samgai @rysiek I suppose that word could be a bit out there.

I've always been comfortable with words that could be used in medical textbooks. Although, Danish medical textbooks are pretty savage.

@rune @markusl @rysiek I honestly don't know any good way to CW things whose sole mentions should be CW'd. My best hope is to spell the thing in full and hope that whoever doesn't want to see that word has a filter set up for it.

@samgai @rune @rysiek Sorry — I meant that as a kind of meta joke. IRL, I tend to say things with a straight face, and people who don't know me don't realise I'm joking. Now I seem to be doing it here, too.

"Of course there can't be 100 % security, but we are commited to keep your genitals as safe as possible under industry standards."
"We provide military grade genitals protection"
