UtaForum Code of Conduct: Hi all,

This post has been a long time coming. As forum admin, I must apologize for… utaforum.net/threads/utaforum-

Honestly I have been using Koss PortaPros since I was in Middle School.

I had a Sony Walkman, later a skip-less Portable CD player. In High School a Creative Zen MP3 player. I used this style of headphones with each.

Phone makers can pry the 3.5mm jack from my cold dead hands.

Yes, I still use wired , even outside if the house. In this case Koss PortaPros under my GFL patch hat.

Open back designs leak a bit of sound but still allow me to be aware I'd nut surroundings. They also sound great and don't get my ears hot.

Despite their losing streak I still rock TL gear everywhere I go. Esports jerseys, the good ones at least, are suprisingly comfortable.

The Blue Snowball is currently on sale for $40. Honestly not a bad price, I actually prefer it to its bigger brother the Yeti, and I have owned both for a time. It's not bad as far as budget USB mics go: amzn.to/39ttEFS

Got more recording gear for that I haven't recorded a new episode of in 6 years. I am not casting, but I am still buying hardware lol.

Got this lot of 2 Behringer MDX2600 Channel Strips, includes 2 channels of Compresser, Limiter, Gate, Expander, and Dee-esser all for $36.50 per unit. Went halvsies with a local friend who is a streamer.

We kept saying we would do a podcast together so if we ever do that collab I guess we can support 4 guests.

Proposed modifications for the themed "" Happi Coat.

Slightly different from the traditional pattern, needed a flat back with no seams for a clean heat transfer, added embellishments on the sleeves, but overall still a pretty simple pattern for ease of cut and assembly.

Still not sure for final heat transfer art or lettering. Open to suggestions.

I think a cool design for the back to be heat applied would be like a "biker emblem" style logo.
Maybe something like these but with a microphone in the center and like "Big Al" & "" as text.

Proposed modifications for themed "" Happi Coat.
I think it would work, wouldn't know for sure if I tried it.
I think the lettering and artwork can be done with heat transfers once the coat itself is done.
Thoughts?

I found a plastic bin large enough to store all my recording gear and fit under my bed when not it use. It holds my 4x4 USB Interface, my cables, pop filter, mic foams, and even my isolation shield when fully collapsed.
I store my mics individually in their own individual cases in my mic drawer and my mic stand has its own go-bag. I guess technically my setup is "portable" now? I am calling this my portable podcast/recording studio!

ROFL one of the last places I expected both the namedrop and the even more niche intentional misrepresentation.

Payday today so all my bills are caught up & UTAU.wiki vanity URL is renewed. Settling for Instant Ramen tonight instead a fresh bowl but Curry is my favorite flavor so I don't mind.

Normally you don't want Shared Hosting, but I did a lot of research and our new host is well regarded and their shared plans actually have a lot more resources provisioned than my entire low-end VPS. Assuming they are not grossly oversold performance may improve!

I don't expect the new plan to have any problems as we are low volume, but if it does, I can throw some money at it and get a mid-tier Reseller Plan from another host.

Thanks for your patience during this transition.

Sorry, this transition was mostly financially motivated. I have been paying for UtaForum's hosting out of pocket but costs went up and it became unsustainable. I moved UtaForum from a low-end VPS @ $32.50/mo to a high-end shared plan @ $7.50/mo. This move should save $300/yr.

Sorry, domain expired. Money is a bit tight after anime con and unexpected medical thing burned through my cash reserves. I get paid on Friday and can probably renew it then. If not, we got 1-month grace period to renew it before we risk loosing the domain.

Until then the wiki can still be accessed by our non-vanity subdomain URL: utau.wikidot.com

I was hoping to record some test voicebanks tomorrow. Instead of the 4 Channel XLR Snake I order from Monoprice they sent me a 3 Pack of HDMI Cables. I even paid extra for Next-Day Saturday Delivery.
