I just got a debt collection notice for $30. I thought, WTF?! This was from my sudden cardiac arrest a year ago. Now, I got a million bills because of this. You get bills from the hospital, but also from the various doctors who work there but aren't part of the hospital. I looked through my records and I've never gotten a bill from this doctor. I DID finally find the EOB for this. But when you get an EOB, you don't pay it--you need the bill! Which I never got! I'll have to call them tomorrow.
Never try and catch a falling knife. That's one of the cardinal rules in stocks. I was guilty of this myself when I first got into stocks. You get enamored with a company. I bought Corel at around $3.40, and then Linux blew up, made no sense, but Corel hit $44. I wouldn't sell because I wanted Linux to be big. Corel then started to fall and I watched it fall to $13.50 before I got out. So I had a nice profit, but it could have been a lot more.
That's why people buying DWAC are screwed.
#Andor is absolutely fantastic. It's what Star Wars needed--a new direction. We already saw a preview of that with Rogue One. Tony Gilroy brings some nice weighty heft to Star Wars.
That last thing we needed what more pale fluff pretend regurgitated copycat crap like the sequels.
"The root of all evil is the love of money." There is no truer statement about the human condition.
You knew there was going to be fraud involving covid pandemic relief, but damn!
Stealing is wrong. I've known this since I was a kid. You know how I learned this? From TV shows like Leave it to Beaver and The Brady Bunch. TV shows nowadays do not teach morals. Hell, I don't think parents do, either. They just teach their kids to be racists and bigots.
I took out my phone at the grocery store to scan the QR code, and I fumbled and it slipped out of my hand. I caught it just as it banged into the side of the cashier station. Luckily that glass protector did its job, although the protection sheet is chipped and cracked now. But better that than my phone. I bought a two pack so I can replace that protector sheet if I need to.
I was reading an article that was talking about how Gen Z can't read cursive. That just blows my mind. But when I think about it, it makes sense. I don't handwrite anything anymore. I just type on the computer. In fact, because of this, I have trouble writing checks. I have to write really slowly because it feels unnatural to me.
In college, I used a manual typewriter to write papers. One time, I was lazy and turned in a handwritten paper. The professor wasn't too trilled about that.
When I was in high school, I did not need glasses. Then, in Geography class (was that actually a class? That seems like a stupid class to have), we had an assignment that involved a lot of close up looking involving maps. After that assignment was done, I noticed my vision was slightly blurry. I couldn't read the blackboard anymore. I thought it was just eye strain. But It never got better. I kept thinking the next day it would be back to normal. But from then on, I needed glasses.
I bet one of the reasons why people don't eat more fruit is because nowadays, the fruit you get at the grocery store is pretty shitty. Tasteless and mealy. I got some peaches the other day--they looked BEAUTIFUL, but they weren't very sweet and had very little flavor. I remember when I was a kid, fruit was so delicious. Even red delicious apples were great back then.
